Vetta N. Dingewall, daughter of John and Isobel Dingwall was born near the town of Granger, Minnesota on July 21, 1866. She died at Onawa, Iowa on March 16, 1931 having lived 64 years 7 months 25 days.

She moved with her family to Monona County, Iowa in 1884 and came to Onawa in 1890 and since then has been a resident here.

She is survived by one sister, Isobel Skirving of Seattle, Washington and 3 brothers, C.S. of Portland, Oregon and Robert and Arthur of Onawa.

Miss Dingwall was a home loving soul ever casting aside her own suffering to minister to those near and dear to her.

The service at the Brown Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon was conducted by the Rev. Thos Batho of the local Methodist Episcopal Church.

The music was led by mixed quartette of the church choir, presenting “Jesus Savior Pilot Me” and “We Are Going Down The River One By One.” Mrs. Shirley Hackett was accompanist, Mrs. William Fowles, Mrs. T.L. Gossard, Harry Swim and Mrs. Shirley Hackett were the singers.

Interment was made in the Onawa Cemetery.
