Well Known Moorhead Man Dies

Funeral services were held on Saturday March 7th, at the Old Perrin home near Preparation for Orval Harrison Perrin, well known resident of the vicinity of Moorhead and Preparation. Mr. Perrin was for years in the banking business at Moorhead. Burial was made in the cemetery at Woodbine.

Dr. Fowler of Omaha officiated at the funeral. Following is the obituary.

Orval Harrison Perrin, son of Thos J. and Patience Perrin, was born July 6, 1888 at Preparation, Iowa and passed away March 5, 1931 at the age of 42 years, 7 months, 29 days.

He was united in marriage to Kate Irene McDaniel, December 3rd, 1914. They lived at Woodbine, Iowa for 3 years later at Moorhead, Iowa. Then at their present home, the old family home near Moorhead.

“Harry” as everyone called him, was a friend of man only those who have been aided and helped by him when the need was great can fully appreciate his generous and kindly deeds.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, two brothers Wayne J of Pisgah, Walter L. of Moorhead and three sisters, Mrs. Geo H. Vincent of Pisgah, Carrie Schmidt of Gordon, Nebraska, R. Evelyn Perrin of Moorhead and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

His father, Mother, one brother, Charley A. and one sister, Dora M. Kirby have preceded him.
