MRS. CHARLES SNOW DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS

Minnie Cooper was born in Warren County, Ill. Oct. 16, 1877. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cooper and was one of a family of four children, two boys and two girls. Three years later she moved to Mount Etna, Adams County, Ia. Later she moved to Onawa and then to Smithland where the last 15 years of her life have been spent.

On June 4, 1914 she was married to Charlie Snow of Onawa. She ultimately became the mother of three children one girl and two boys. Two of these died in infancy a loss that was very keenly felt by the deceased for a long time.

It was well known to all Mrs. Snow’s relatives and friends that for some time her health had been far from good, and constantly growing worse. Her death came as a result.

To mourn her departure she leaves her husband Charles Snow; one son, Charles Wendell Snow; two brothers Thomas Cooper of Corning, Ia., and Guy Cooper of Onawa, and a sister Mrs. Sylvia Neary of Onawa.

Mrs. Snow was a woman of honest principles and good character. She was kindly disposed to all and easily made friends. Those who knew her best respected her the most. Her death came suddenly and she quietly slept away. She died Sept. 3, 1935, and was 57 years, 10 months, ad 18 days old. The community extends its sincere and deep sympathy with those who are left to mourn her loss.

Funeral services were held Friday Sept. 6, in the Smithland M. E. Church the Rev. Fredk. G. Granthan officiating. Burial was in the Onawa Cemetery.
