Arthur Fischer departed this lifeSunday morning, February 13, shortly after midnight, at a Sioux City hospital following a several week’s illness. He had reached the age of 35 years, 1 month and 29 days.

He was the youngest son of John Fischer, deceased and his wife, Bertha, nee Koeppen, and was born in Hanover Township, Crawford County, Iowa, on December 16, 1902.

In the year 1928 he was united in marriage to Jessie Hennings. To this union four children were born, one son and three daughters.

Mr. Fischer was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church. He was baptized, confirmed and married in the Lutheran Church I Hanover Township and since 1928, the year he moved onto the farm now occupied by his family, he was a member of the Ute Congregation. He was regular in attendance at the services and the Lord’s Altar and supported the church in word and deed.

His early passing is mourned by his wife, Jessie, nee Hennings; three daughters, Dorothy, Evelyn and Ruby, one son, William, his aged mother, Mrs. Bertha Fischer of Denison, two sisters, Miss Ida Fischer of Denison and Mrs. Julius Suhr of Ute, three brothers, Martin of Leeds, William of Ute and John of Columbus, Montana.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Henning Funeral Home and at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pastor Neiting officiating. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute.

The pallbearers were Fred Borchert, Harvey Hennings, Herbert Mordhorst and Peter Laumbach of Ute, and Walter and Henry Rabe of Ricketts.
