Rodney, Iowa – Mrs. John P. Conner, 93, Rodney, died Wednesday at a hospital in Onawa of long illness.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Rodney United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dale Church and Pastor Harold White will officiate. Burial will be in the Smithland Cemetery under direction of the Willman Funeral Home of Rodney.

Mrs. Conner, the former Deedle Pearl Patterson, was born January 11, 1887, at Vail. She moved to Rodney with her parents as a child. She was graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Sioux City.

She was married to Frank Carl. They lived at Kenwood before moving to Texas in 1918. He died in November 1924.

She was married to Mr. Conner in 1926. He died in 1957. Since March of 1980 she had made her home with her sister at Rodney.

Mrs. Conner was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Parr, Texas.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Cora Steinhoff of Onawa and Mrs. Zella Christensen of Rodney.
