Mrs. Leottie Cook Buried Thursday
Funeral Services Held in Olerich Funeral Home For Longtime Resident

Funeral services were held here at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Olerich Funeral home for Mrs. Leottie Cook, 53-year-old Mapleton resident for the last 36 years. Mrs. Cook died in St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City Thursday morning of last week. She had been in ill health for several years.

Rev Elmer G Otte, pastor or the Evangelical and Reformed church in Mapleton, was in charge of the services. Bob Mc Vicker and Bob Langholz sang.

Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery under the direction of the Olerich Funeral home.

Pallbearers were Don Head, Earl Porter, W I. Lefebvre, Frauds Kaiton, William Collins and Hans Jensen.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Jones, she was born January 11, 1894 at Neola, la. When a young girl she moved with her parents to Danbury where she was graduated from Danbury High school. She was married in 1912 in Onawa to William Cook of Mapleton and resided in Mapleton or on farms near here ever since.

She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church in Mapleton.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Roselle Ferdig of Mapleton and Mrs. Ruby Aveiar of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, 4 sons, Edmund of Inglewood, Cal., and Creighton Don, William James and John Paul of Mapleton, 3 grandchildren and 1 sister, Mrs. Ruby Duff of Wenatchee. Wash.

All of the children were here for the funeral services, Mrs. Aveiar arriving by airplane from Pearl Harbor Wednesday morning. One son, Laurence William preceded Mrs. Cook in death in 1935
