Obituary for Elizabeth Dohlman

Elizabeth Mary Dohlman, age 60, of Riceville passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 9th, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, with Father Mark Murphy and Pastor Dan Christensen officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Riceville. Family and friends are welcome to visit Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Wednesday, November 8th, during the hours of 4:00 – 7:00 pm.

Beth was born in Osage, Iowa, on May 6, 1957, to Theodore and Elizabeth Perzynski. Beth attended and graduated from Riceville High School in 1975.

On October 4, 1975, she was united in marriage to Lynn Dohlman in Meyer, Iowa. Lynn and Beth farmed in Utica, MN and Riceville for many years, until Lynn’s death in 1998. Beth helped her husband on the farm, ran an in-home daycare for over 10 years, and held a variety of positions with local businesses. There is no doubt, whatever Beth did, she did it well and was always 20 minutes early!

Beth’s passion was her children and grandchildren. Oh, and cats! You could find Beth at her grandchildren’s concerts, plays, recitals and sporting events. She loved cooking for her family, being on the boat fishing with her sons, going to the movies and shopping with her daughters and playing cribbage with anyone willing to play a game or six!

Beth is survived by her children: Justin Dohlman and his wife Pam of St. Paul, MN; Tracy Majerus and her husband Rob of Rochester, MN; Jackson Dohlman and his wife Wendy of Riceville, IA; Tyler Dohlman and his wife Amelia of Boone, IA; Dakota Dohlman of Riceville, IA. Her beautiful grandchildren: Lincoln Majerus, Lyndon, Taleah, and Rylan Dohlman. Siblings: Bonnie Perzynski of Mazeppa, MN; Ted (Cherie) Perzynski of Eyota, MN; Donella (Bruce) Hastings of Austin, MN; Brian (Darla) Perzynski of Riceville, IA; Jared (Lindsay) Perzynski of Holliday, TX; Treena (Gary) Perzynski of Rochester, MN. Mother-in-law Wanda Dohlman of LeRoy, MN; sister-in-law Debbie Keller of Riceville, IA; brother-in-law Jay (Becky) Dohlman of Riceville, IA; sister-in-law Karen (Mark) Wettlaufer of Cushing, MN. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive her.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband Lynn, her daughter Courtney Elizabeth, her parents, her step-father Ed Perzynski, father-in-law Don Dohlman, brother-in-law Brad Keller, and a nephew, Tommy Perzynski.
