Mrs. Eliza Van Kirk, nee Snodgrass, was born in Washington County, Pa., Oct. 11, 1811, and died in Silver City, Iowa, April 18, 1895. She was brought up in the Presbytarian Church. Since coming to Iowa in 1869, she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church. She was married to Hamilton Van Kirk (whom she survived for about eight years) April 2, 1833. To them were born five children, three of whom are still living. Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. Church by Rev.
