Joe Purcell was born at White Cloud Oct. 5th, 1902. When he was three years old his parents moved to the Robbins Ranch near Wesley Chapel where they resided until three years ago, when they moved to the present home.

He was taken sick Nov. 13th and the seriousness of the case caused him to be taken to the hospital at Council Bluffs where he passed away Thanksgiving morning Mov. 25th, aged 13 years, 1 month and 20 days.

Though his suffering was intense he bore it uncomplainingly and not a murmer of protest was heard from the little sufferer. His kind disposition endeared him to his many friends and school mates who will miss the sunshine and cheerfulness of that little soul who has gone to the Great Beyond there to await the meeting of the loved ones who we will not forget that life and he

Tho his stay on earth was short we will not forget that life and he will always be an inspiration to us to live truer and better that we may meet him in the skies.

The deceased is survived by four sisters and one brother besides his sorrowing parents and friends.

M. E. Purcell and son Ermil of Kansas City and Mrs. Flora Allen and Clifford Purcell of Sioux City were here to attend the funeral.
