Life Story Of . . . MRS. ELIVRA HUNT

Elvira Marsella, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Ventis, was born June 8, 1872, near Tabor, Iowa. She lived her entire life in Mills County, residing near Tabor until failing health of Mr. Hunt made it necessary to move to Glenwood.

On September 8, 1892, she was united in marriage to Arch Hunt at Malvern, Iowa. Eight children were born to this union, four of whom have preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hunt was baptized in the Methodist Church, December 4, 1904 and remained a faithful member until her passing. She was always faithful to her church as long as health permitted. She was a good neighbor and always ready to lend a hand in sickness and in time of need. Her chief interest in life was her family and she counted it a blessing to have lived to enjoy her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while her many hours of leisure were spent working in her flowers.

Mrs. Hunt passed away suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daisy Bell, in Glenwood Friday evening, June 28, leaving to mourn her passing her four daughters, Mrs. Daisy Bell of Glenwood; Mrs. Leona Settell of Wheatland, Wyoming; Mrs. Geneva DuVal of Tabor; and Mrs. Inez Wirth of Macedonia, sixteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many close relatives and friends.
