John Bogle
John Bogle, of whose death we mentioned in Monday's Tribune, was born in Ontario, Canada, about 55 years ago. The exact date cannot be obtained at this writing.
In early manhood he came to Glenwood, where he worked at the trade of blacksmithing for a year, and then the next year (1881) went to Pacific Junction, where he continued at his trade until 1892.
He bought at that time a farm west of Pacific Junction known as the John Carter place. He farmed there for ten years, when he sold and removed to near Fargo, Oklahoma, which has been his home since.
A few weeks ago he came to Pacific Junction, and he and his brother, Robert, went to Aberdeen, Washington, to see their mother, who was very sick. While at Aberdeen Mr. Bogle took sick, which developed into pneumonia and caused his death on March 21, 1915.
The body of Mr. Bogle was taken to Fargo, Oklahoma, for burial, being accompanied home by his brother, Robert. He leaves a wife and two children and three grand-children to mourn the passing away of one dear to them. His children – David Bogle and Mrs. Sadie Reineger – both live at Fargo.
