Memorial Services - Henderson:
The Henderson community held a Memorial Service Sunday afternoon in honor of their soldier dead. A number of Henderson citizens contributed cars and the procession left the churches at 2:30, going to the cemetery where the service was held. A short address was given by the Methodist pastor, after which the crowd formed in double line and marched to the graves to be decorated.

Wreathes were laid upon the following Civil War Veteran's graves: Mrs. Coppock placed the wreath on her husband's grave, Jacob Coppock; Mrs. Joel Woods did the same at her husband's grave, Dick Miller, Edward Slump, L. D. Shinn, Lewis Renstrom, Robert Robinson, Mrs. Wilkinson placed the wreath on her father's grave, James Warren. There is one World War veteran sleeping in our local cemetery, Lloyd Titterington. Ralph Viner, a World War Veteran laid the memorial tribute of flowers on his grave. Over a hundred people attended the services.
