Katherine McDonald Becomes Bride Of Frank E. Carlstrom

Miss Katherine J. McDonald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred McDonald of Marshalltown, and Frank E. Carlstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Whelan of Marshalltown, were married Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the parsonage of the Central Church of Christ.

Rev. P.G. Dennis read the single ring service in the presence of the parents of both the bride and bridegroom, and also Mrs. Kate Nelson, grandmother of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Bean, of Grinnell, aunt and uncle of the bridegroom.

The bride was attired in a street length dress of gold crepe with matching accessories and wore a corsage of gardenias and talisman roses.

A reception after the wedding was held at the home of the bride and bridegroom, 1112 May street.

The table was decorated with yellow pompons and white asters and featured a wedding cake.

The couple will be at home after a short wedding trip. Mr. Carlstrom is a mortician at the Wagner mortuary.
