Mrs. Muks, of Marshall County, after a married life of 28 years, was compelled to sue for divorce from her husband on account of cruelty. Thereupon he followed her to the house of a friend to whose residence she has fled, and attempted to kill her. He fled to the swamp, and citizens after him; when to save lynching he gave himself up to officers of the law.
