Mrs. Harris, once a resident of Dubuque, now of Marshalltown, and widow of Capt. Harris, one of the unfortunate victims of the Spanish butchery, has received $3,000 as a recompense for her husband’s death. It will be remembered that Capt. Harris was one of the “Virginius” captives who were shot by order of the Spanish authorities
In Cuba.
