Friday evening after a long period of about 14 days, the wife of our fellow citizen A. G. Gesman, died at the age of almost 70 years. [Translated by J. Smith.]

This was published in De Volksvriend, dated Thursday, Aug 10, 1882, page 2, col 2, in Orange City, Iowa. It is in a section entitled "Pella Nieuws--from Pella's Weekblad." It would have come from Pella's Weekblad dated the previous week, Aug 3, 1882. This places this lady's death July 28 or early morning hours of July 29, 1882. This person appears to be Adriana Gesman, however, her tombstone gives the year 1881 as her death. FG 146391540. Obit is found online at: siouxcounty.advantage-preservation.com.
