MONTGOMERY - Died, of stomach trouble, at his home on C avenue east, at 12 o'clock P.M., August 21, 1897, JOHN C. MONTGOMERY, aged 61 years, 10 months. Funeral from the residence at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 23, and interment in Forest cemetery. Mr. Montgomery was one of the city's oldest contractors and builders and was well known throughout the county. He leaves a wife, one son and two daughters to mourn his death.
