OBITUARIES – RUTH A. SMITH

Ruth Armstrong Smith, 86, of 1908 died of cancer Friday at Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born in St. Charles and had lived in Des Moines since 1920. She was a charter member of Westkirk Evangelical Presbyterian Church and a member of chapter H.K. of P.E.O.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen J. Horman of Des Moines; and a grandson. Friends may call after 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
