Bruce Leonard Kimmick, 70, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2025, in Centennial, Colo. He was born to Leonard and Marcella (Truesdell) Kimmick on Aug, 8, 1954, at Fort Benning, Ga. Bruce was raised in a military family, living in many states and in Germany. After graduating from high school and college in Texas, Bruce joined the U.S. Navy and served until his retirement as a Lieutenant Commander.

Bruce and Anne Maureen McNamara were married on July 6, 1991, in Winterset, Iowa. In 1994, they settled in Colorado, where Bruce worked in construction management and volunteered countless hours as a Boy Scout leader and trainer.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Anne; their children, Kathryn Kimmick (Theo Carter) and Keenan (Freda) Kimmick; and grandson, Leonard Kimmick; sister, Karen Morse; mother-in-law, Marilyn McNamara; brother-in-law, Terence (Michelle) McNamara; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marcella Kimmick; and a sister, Florence Martin.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Bruce’s life on Sunday, June 15, at 1:00 p.m. at the Winterset Cemetery.
