Marguerite Mae (Holton) Simpson, age 98, died in her home at Madison Manor in Earlham, Iowa on May 14, 2026. A visitation is set for May 23, 2026, at 10:00 am at DeSoto Calvary Baptist Church just west of Desoto. With a graveside service being held at 11:15 am at the DeSoto Cemetery.
She was preceded by parents Irene and Virgil Holton, husband Fred Simpson, son Bobby Simpson, grandson Donnie Simpson, sister Millie Raymond, brother-in-law Frank Raymond, daughter-in-law Judy Simpson, sons-in-law Richard Marquardt, Darryl Gordon, and Rickie Brantley and great-grandson Ryan Simpson.
Marge is survived by her children Beverly Boyle (Nick) of Earlham, IA, Jerry Simpson of Des Moines, IA, Fred Simpson Jr (Karen) of Montreal, MO, Jacquelyn Marquardt of DeSoto, IA, Barbara Gordon of Adel, IA, Nancy Brantley of Gravois Mills, MO, John Simpson (Teena) of Versailles, MO, Julie Winter (Clint) of Adel, IA as well as 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be directed to DeSoto Calvary Baptist Church, Every Step Hospice of Winterset or Earlham Rescue.
