Carole Ann Lynch

Carole Lynch, 78, of Prole, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at her home.

Carole Ann was born to Paul F. and Mildred (Foshe) Wilson in Baltimore, Maryland on August 8, 1943. She moved to Granger, Iowa, in 1970, and also lived in West Des Moines before moving to Prole thirty years ago.

Carole and Maurice “Bud” Lynch were married in Elkhart, Iowa on July 14, 1990. She was an underwriter for Continental Western and then Farm Bureau for many years and retired several years ago. Carole was an avid Iowa State fan.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Goertz of Winterset; sister, Christine Kerby of Elkhart; nephew, Bryan (Jodie) Howard of Mitchellville; and nieces, Leigh Nicole Swanson and Melanie Swanson of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice (Bud) Lynch; parents, Paul and Mildred Wilson; and sister, Catherine Swanson.

Carole’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a private graveside service at a later date at the St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to an animal shelter of your choice.
