Patrick Durigon, one of our oldest settlers, died last week, and was buried Saturday in St. Patrick’s cemetery at Churchville.

He was a resident here for 45 years, coming direct from Ireland, a middle aged man. Like many of the Irish immigrants into the Irish settlement, he was blest with a long life, having reached the extreme age of 92 years.

Mr. Durigan was one of the most prominent citizens of Madison and Warren counties during his active life, and his death, though not unexpected, caused intense sorrow to a host of friends.
