Albert Bert Huff died at his residence at 404 North Maple Monday, February 17. He had lived in Jefferson for 26 years. Call Slininger’s for the time of the funeral.

ALBERT HUFF RITES HELD THIS AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Albert Huff 62, were held from the Slininger chapel at 2 p.m. today, Rev. M. Dwight Walker of the Central Church of Christ officiated. Dr. J. K. Johnson, Jr., sang two selections accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Dean Barker. Those serving as pallbearers were O. R. Beckner, Charles Reeder, Melvin McGrew, Charles Mailes, Tom Millett and Mike Seery. Burial was made in the Jefferson Cemetery.

Albert B. Huff, son of Thomas and Emmeline Huff, was born at Bloomington, Ill., November 2, 1878, and departed this life at his home in Jefferson, on February 17 at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 15 days.

He came to Iowa when a small child and grew to manhood around Winterset, where he united with the Methodist church.

He was married to Grace Landers on April 18, 1906, and in the year of 1913 they came with their family to Jefferson where they have lived since that time.

To Mr. and Mrs. Huff were born four children. A little daughter, Dorothy preceded her father in death in December 1918.

He leaves surviving, his beloved wife, one son, Lloyd of Des Moines, two daughters, Mrs. Austin Cofer of Jefferson and Norma Jean at home; also his son-in-law, Austin Cofer, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. June Huff. Mr. half also is survived by three brothers and four sisters, Alpha, Elmer and Mrs. Florence Bolding of Hustin, Mo., Dick and Mrs. Edith Jacobson of Regent, N. D., Mrs. Dora Marston and Mrs. Rose Gasmire of Thief River Falls, Minn., besides a host of relatives and friends.
