Dennis Carpenter

Dennis Carpenter, 53, of Macksburg, passed away on Sunday evening, May 22, 2022 at his home.

Dennis was born on February 9, 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa at Methodist Hospital, the son of Everett and Joyce Carpenter. He graduated from Winterset High School. He was married to Patricia (Janey) Bolton on December 4, 1988. He lived most of his life in Iowa with some brief stays in South Carolina, Missouri and Florida.

He was an owner/operator truck driver most of his life. He loved always traveling to new places and seeing new things. He loved old cars, especially 68-72 Chevy pickups and enjoyed talking about cars with his children. He was always working on them with his dad when he was alive. He was always willing to help his kids when they needed him and always wanted to pay the bill for everyone when they went out to eat.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett, and grandparents.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Joyce, his wife, Patricia (Janey), three children, five grandchildren, sister, Dawn, sister-in-law, Julie Bolton, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Bolton.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., before the service. Dennis was cremated. Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
