Former Winterset Boy Killed On Iron Mountain Road Near St. Louis.
Robert Stiffler, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Stiffler, formerly of Winterset, was crushed to death in his engine on the Iron Mountain railroad near St. Louis last week. Particulars of his death were not communicated to his relatives here. The bare fact that he was killed is all that is known.
Stiffler was a man about thirty years old and has been an engineer on the Iron Mountain for several years. He moved away from Winterset when he was fourteen years old. The family was well known at all the older residents.
