W. H. CORD DEAD

W. H. Cord, at one time a resident of Rolfe, died at the home of his son, Will, in Des Moines, Friday, October 8th, at the age of seventy-five years. The writer remembers Mr. Cord as a kindly old gentleman, always ready to give one a hearty greeting.

The body was brought to Rolfe Monday by the sons, Will and Vint, and laid to rest beside that of the mother, who was buried here three years ago.

Mr. Cord ws Mrs. Amos Marchant’s father. In addition to those mentioned, he leaves another son in Des Moines, who was unable to attend the funeral on account of injuries recently received. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.
