The death of William Alcock occurred at his home in Scott Township, August 22, 1890.
More than forty years ago when quite a boy, the deceased, with his father who still survives, came to Madison county, and being a man of business naturally became greatly incorporated with many of its interests, all of which he must now leave to the care of others.
He also when a boy sought Christ and became not only incorporated with the literal church but by faith with the church of the first born who surrounded the throne and whose interests with him will be forever one and undivided to our brother. Death was indeed victory but we mourn our loss.
His age was sixty five years eleven months and fourteen days.
