Death of Chas. Bartlett

Died, Chas. Bartlett, of Des Moines, at New York City, Aug. 3, at 7 a. m., aged 35 years 7 months and 5 days. The remains will be brought to Des Moines for interment.

Mr. Bartlett was for many years bookkeeper at the Iowa National Bank of this city, and the tidings of his departure from earth will come with sadness to his many friends. Mr. Bartlett was compelled to resign his position on account of failing health and by the advice of his physicians went to California for one year without obtaining the relief he desired. He then concluded to go to New York where he has been under special treatment for the past two years, until his decease.

The funeral will take place from the residence of his father-in-law, F. Reinig, 833 West Sixth street, Wednesday morning August 6, at 10 o’clock.-Des Moines Leader.

The deceased grew to manhood in this city, where he was quite well known, and had many friends. He was a brother of Mrs. Wm. Garlinger.
