Robert Boyle

Robert Boyle, 84 of rural Dexter passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Unity Point - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Per his wishes cremation has taken place at Johnson Family Funeral Home & Crematory. No services will be scheduled.

Bob was born on February 1, 1936 on the family farm south of Dexter. He attended country school, Earlham School and graduated from Earlham High School with the class of 1954. Bob served in the United States Army and following his honorable discharge he began his lifelong career farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Maurice and Lela Willison Boyle, a brother and a son.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Marilyn (Mik), their blended family of 5 daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Two sisters also survive along with a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Memorials may be directed to: The Dexter Roundhouse Non-Profit, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or Creston Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.).
