Kevan Lewis

Kevan Lewis, 59, of Winterset, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Family will greet friends on Tuesday, December 1, from 3 to 7 PM at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home Winterset Chapel. Memorial services will be at a later date.

Kevan was born on April 20, 1961, at Des Moines, Iowa to Richard and Betty (Howland) Lewis. He was married on November 3, 2015 at Winterset to Katie Corbin. Kevan had been an auto parts manager for Freightliner Trucking Company in Altoona and had also been a bartender at The Hitchin’ Post in Bevington.

Kevan loved his social life and cooking for friends and family for dinner gatherings. He loved having friends and family over for happy hour on the porch and decorating for holidays. He had a passion for jewelry, and he loved and enjoyed everyone he knew.

Kevan is survived by his mother, Betty (Howland) Lewis of Des Moines; wife, Katie Corbin of Winterset; daughter, Juliaray (Aaron) Corbin-Smith of Redding, CA; brother, Rick (Tammi) Lewis of Des Moines; and sister-in-law, Doreen “Dodie” (Mike) Caudle of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lewis; brother, Craig Lewis; and sister-in-law, Cherene Taylor.

Memorials may be directed to his family for a future designation.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home Winterset Chapel.
