Robert "Bob" Melvin Gamble

Robert "Bob" Melvin Gamble, son of Cleo and Gladys (Hays) Gamble was born December 13, 1927 in St. Charles, Iowa and passed from this life, surrounded by family at his home near St. Charles, Iowa on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 91 years of age.

Bob grew up on the family farm near St. Charles, graduated from St. Charles High School and was united in marriage to Norma Jean "Jeanie" Vance on January 31, 1956 in Bethany, Missouri. This union was blessed with three children, Dan, Mona and Randy.

Bob was a hard-working family man, he loved farming and was still working the family farm where he was raised. He enjoyed music and was an accomplished song writer and guitar player. He enjoyed telling stories and loved any time he was able to be with his family. Bob was a member of the St. Charles Parish.

Those relatives who preceded Bob in death were his parents, Cleo and Gladys Gamble, siblings, Edyth Johnston, Helen Howard, John Gamble, Dorothy Neal, Jim Gamble, Raymond Gamble.

Bob leaves his loving wife of 63 years, Jeanie Gamble of Saint Charles, IA, son, Dan (Irene) Gamble of Cambridge, IA, daughter, Mona (Charlie) Walters of New Virginia, IA, son, Randy (Julie) Gamble of Winterset, IA, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tyler) Uetz of Des Moines, IA, Chelsey Gamble of Fort Collins, CO, Casey (Jennifer) Walters of Redfield, IA, Matt Gamble of La Mesa, CA, Cory Gamble of Carlsbad, CA, Clayton (Monica) Walters of Cedar Rapids, IA, Katie (fiancé Adam Brummer) Gamble of Lucas, IA; great grandchildren, Levi Grace and Cora Jo Walters; siblings, Wilbur (Betty) Gamble of Clive, IA, Delores Gamble of St. Charles, IA, Marge Seward of Nampa, ID, Jeanne (Jerold) White of Norwalk, IA, Don (Jan) Gamble of Oklahoma City, OK, and Patricia Reeves of Springfield, MO, sister-in-law Gloria (Bill) Stewart of Urbandale, IA, and Judy Gamble of Kingston, OK, brother-in-law Clyde Neal as well as many other relatives and friends.
