Lenore Little, 89, of Norwalk (formerly of Winterset), died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Norwalk.

A visitation with family present will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 17, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, where the funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the North McDonald Cemetery near Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later destination and online condolences can be left at Ochiltree.com.

Lenore Rose Little, daughter of Ralph and Lily (Huss) Johnson, was born June 2, 1929 in Madison County, Iowa. She attended school in Winterset before she was united in marriage with Harold Little on August 19, 1946 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Lenore worked at Winterset Care Center South as an activities director for most of her working career. She attended the Nazarene Church in Winterset and enjoyed going to the Art Center to paint. She also enjoyed writing stories and poems as well as watching Western movies. Harold and Lenore enjoyed camping and fishing together and were talented square dancers. Lenore loved to volunteer and visit the Meal Site in Winterset. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who cherished spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Dennis (Brenda) Little of West Des Moines; Randy Little of Des Moines; Becky (Tony) Fees of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, Brett Little, Derek Little, Jeannette Haub, Nathan Little, Tim Little, Zach Little, Mandy Timmerman; seven great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Little in 1994; sister, Audrey Baker; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Little in 2017.
