Page 1, Column 2Mrs. Etta Porter Dies Wednesday
LORIMOR – Mrs. Etta Porter, 87, who spent most of her life in the Lorimor community, died Wednesday morning at her home in Kellerton. She had lived in Kellerton for the last five years.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian church here at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Paul Shook will officiate. Burial will be in the Lorimor cemetery. Her body is at the Watts funeral home here.
Mrs. Porter was born in Madison county and lived in and near Lorimor most of her life. She and her husband, Andrew, moved to Kellerton about five years ago to be near her granddaughter, Mrs. Loren Rush, who cared for both of them during their illnesses. Mr. Porter died about four years ago.
Mrs. Porter is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Anice Henderson in South Dakota, Mrs. Alma Tratchel of Newton, Mrs. Nellie Welty of Afton and Mrs. Lenora Henning of Rock Island, Ill., and two sons, Lee Porter of Adel and Edson Porter of Colfax.
