Ruth Darlene Rudolf, 93, passed away at her home Thursday, November 19, 2015.

Ruth was born June 6, 1922 in Greenfield, Iowa to William and Emma Stelling. She married William Eugene Rudolf on March 31st, 1945. They lived on the farm for 12 years before moving to Des Moines in 1957. Ruth enjoyed being a homemaker and will be remembered by her family as being a great cook and baker.

Ruth is survived by her husband William “Gene” Rudolf; sons, Richard (Cecelia) and James (Linda); five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother her daughter, Charlene Rudolf Meyer and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday November 23, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Unity Pointe Hospice.
