Hessie Buchanan Rites on Tuesday

Services for Mrs. Hessie M. Buchanan, 75, of 715 Eighteenth st., will be at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Lilly Funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Smith officiating. Burial will be at Woodland cemetery.

Mrs. Buchanan, who died Saturday of a heart attack at her home, had lived in Des Moines since 1908. She was born at St. Charles, Ia., and was a member of the Methodist church there.

Her husband, Albert H. Buchanan, died in January. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by a son, Charles R. Buchanan, Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Romano, Des Moines; two brothers, Moffett Weaver, Park Rapids, Minn., and Otto Weaver, Pounsford, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. W. S. Bell, Mrs. Warren Gifford and Mrs. J. I. Garrett, all of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. S. A. McClellan, Everett, Wash.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
