WINTERSET—A funeral for Winnie Brower, 94, of Winterset Care Center North was held May 10, 1988 at Fisher Funeral Home at Adel. Mrs. Brower died of a heart ailment on May 7 at the care center. Burial was in East Linn Cemetery at Redfield.

The daughter of Wayne and Adalate Parker, she was born at Redfield on Jan. 28, 1894. She married Alman (Dutch) Brower at Adel on Feb. 1, 1912. She lived most of her life in the Adel area and had lived in Winterset for three years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, one son, six brothers and four sisters, including her twin sister.

Survivors include four daughters, Muzella Clark of Collins, Doris Reed of Adel, Peggy Smithson of Panora and Iola Christensen of Coon Rapids; two sons, Zon Brower and Alva Brower, both of Adel; 22 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 22 great great-grandchildren.
