Linda Backus, 78, of Winterset, died Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Winterset Care Center North.

No services will be held in Iowa at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Arizona with a burial to follow in the Camelback Cemetery in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association and online condolences can be left at ochiltree.com.

Linda Grace Dolson, daughter of Delbert and Edna (Ellison) Dolson, was born February 21, 1940, in Madison County, Iowa. She was a graduate of Macksburg High School. Linda was united in marriage with Lawrence Trent and one son was born to this union. She was later united in marriage to Jim Backus. Lastly she was united in marriage with Roger Adams.

Linda worked for Motorola as an Administrative Assistant for most of her working career. She was a member of the Good Sam Club, Red Hat Ladies, Elks Lodge in Arizona and Moose Lodge in Arizona. Linda loved racing and spending time outdoors especially if it involved hiking in the mountains. She was a compassionate and driven person who enjoyed caring for her many farm animals. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.

Linda is survived by her sister, Doris Rinard of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, James Dolson of Florida; one grandchild; sister-in-law, Pauline Foster of Colorado; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Edna Dolson; husbands, Lawrence Trent, Jim Backus and Roger Adams; son, Jamie Lee Trent; and her brother, Gene Dolson.
