EVERETT CUMINGS

Everett R. Cumings, 69, of Luther Park Health Care Center died of complications of a stroke there Wednesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Cumings was born near Winterset and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired press operator with Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co., an Army veteran and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and United Rubber Workers.

He is survived by his wife, Dee; a son, Michael of Ankeny; a sister, Ann Strahan of Fort Collins, Colo.; a stepbrother, Leonard Miller of Indianola; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Center at Luther Park Health Care Center.
