Mildred Ione Wenck, daughter of Antonio Strunk and Lavern Wessell Strunk was born February 17, 1926 in Calhoun County, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Madison County Memorial Hospital at 91 years of age.
Mildred received her education in Lake City, IA. She was united in marriage to Herman Adolph Wenck on August 14, 1942 at Fairmont, MN and four children, Ellen, Randy, Madelyn and Lanny blessed this union.
Mildred enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family. In addition, she loved dancing to country music and was known among her family and friends to dance a little jig well into her eighties.
Those relatives who preceded Mildred in death were her parents; husband, Herman Adolph Wenck, brother in infancy, Frank Strunck, daughter, Madelyn Kerns, son, Lanny Wenck, sister, Maxine Kackley, son-in-law, Darrell Bruett, son-in-law, Russ Kerns, daughter-in-law, Sandy Wenck.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Ellen Bruett of Winterset, IA; son, Randy (Mary) Wenck of Winterset, IA; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Molly Martin of Webster City, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.
