Page 3, Column 6Funeral services were held February 1, 1988 for Norma Jean Bailey, 50 of Norwalk who died of cancer Friday at Mercy Care Center. The services were held at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Madison County and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. Before retiring last year she had worked for Greyhound Bus Co. and operated a beauty shop in her home.
Survivors include her husband Floyd, two sons, Jim of Nevada and Jeff of Des Moines; two daughters, Debra J. Coon and Denise Bailey, both of Norwalk; her mother, Beulah Simpson of Winterset; two brothers, Dick Simpson of Mount Ayr and Willard Simpson of Mareno Valley, California; two sisters, Catherine Drake of Winterset and Wanda Scott of Greenfield and three grandchildren.
