In Response To: obituary (Joy Schumacher)

Hi Joy,

I checked the catalog of Keck Public in Wapello and they do not have any Louisa County microfilmed newspapers from 1861 to 1869. Gosh darn it!

According to the WPA, he is buried in Campground Cemetery located in Ainsworth, Marion Twp., Washington County, Iowa.

There is quite a bit posted on him, and his family, on Find A Grave at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/21967073

On Ancestry.com there is information on a book compiled by Steven Earl Coulter titled Ancestors & Descendants of Levi Van Eaton & Joseph Van Etten/Eaton, Sons of Isaac Van Easton & Rebecca Renshaw. Steven gives his address as 747 38th St., Des Moines, IA 50312 if someone might like to purchase a copy of his book for $8.

Hope something here might help you!
