Spring Run, September 18- Mrs. Crossley died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Simon Metzgar. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at eleven o'clock at the home.

page 9 - The death of Mrs. Caroline Ann Crossley at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. T. Metzgar, south of Columbus City last Monday, was not unexpected. She had been totally blind for four years and bedfast for a year or more. She was born in Manchester, England. She married John Crossley at the age of twenty-two. She came with him to America, landing at New York, January 1,? At that time, four children had been born to them. Since then four other children came to gladden the home. These are L. C. Crossley, of Burlington; John of Whiting, Iowa; Mrs. Lizzie Randolph, of Columbus City; Mrs. Carrie ? of Whiting, Fred W. of Columbus City, Mrs. Anna Porter, of Orange, California, Mrs. S. T. Metzgar of Columbus Junction and W. C. Crossley of Crawfordsville.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church, Columbus City at 11 o'clock, Wednesday, September 18 conducted by Rev. Hummel, of Grandview. Interment followed in the Columbus City cemetery.
