Mrs. McConahey dead. Mary Ann Beauchamp was born in Ohio, May 14, 1823. She came to Indiana where November 19, 1846, she was married to Robert R. McConahey. When his death came a little more than a year ago, they had trod this world for more than 58 years. To them were born six children, four boys and two girls. They are John T., of Peabody, Kansas; George T. of near Wapello; Margaret J. Skinner, of Peabody, Kansas; William A., Of Isadora, Mo., Nancy E., of Crawfordsville and Elias Francis of Albia. The deceased came to Iowa with her husband in 1852 and settled in Washington county. Later they moved to Adare county; a few years later they moved to Isadora, Mo., but in 1888 they came back to Washington and settled in Crawfordsville, which continued to be their home till death.

The husband died November 15, 1904; the mother lived until December 5, 1905. Four of the children were present at her death. Sister McConahey united with the Methodist church in Ohio, when but sixteen years old. Since the death of her husband she had slowly grown feeble until the summons came. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church at 11 o'clock a. m., Wednesday; sermon by the pastor, Rev. Lloyd Tennant, prayer by Rev. Cotton, of the Presbyterian church. The pall bearers were J. H. Huston, N. J. Sherry, Samuel Gordon, N. L. Long, J. H. Long and Wm McCall. Interment in the Beauchamp cemetery near Wyman.
