Mrs. Mary E. Reece, wife of William Reece, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. J. P. Colton, was born in Pennsylvania, January 17, 1828; departed this life November 5, 1892, aged sixty-four years, nine months and eighteen days. She was twice married. The second marriage was to William Reece, November 4, 1859. Their sojourn together was about thirty years. Twenty some years were spent traveling together to the land of rest. There were born unto them four daughters and one son. There was one daughter of the first marriage, making five daughters and one son with father to mourn.

The subject of this notice has six brothers and two sisters who join with the others in mourning, but they need not mourn as those that have no hope. Mrs. Reece's father, mother and one sister preceded her to the land beyond the river. Mrs. Reece was one of God's earnest followers from the time she started in the Christian work. She never faltered by the way but was able by the grace of Christ Jesus to stay," My way is clear; meet me there." She sleeps in sweet repose until the morn of resurrection.
