REMAINS LAID TO REST AT GRANDVIEW

BODY OF MUSCATINE WOMAN INTERRED MONDAY

Mrs. Martha McGill Suffered for Five Weeks at Home of Mrs. Belle Tucker in This City.

Grandview, Ia., July 12.--(Special.)--The body of Mrs. Martha McDaniel McGill was laid to rest in the Indian Creek cemetery six miles south of this place, Monday afternoon, following impressive services at the Evangelical church here and at the grave. The body was brought to this place from Muscatine on the morning train, accompanied by the relatives and a few friends.

Mrs. McGill had been ill for more than five weeks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Belle Tucker, in Muscatine. She was 73 years old, having been born in Dart county, O., March 25, 1837. She had resided the greater part of her life in Louisa county, Ia., but for the last five years resided in Muscatine.

In 1859 she was married to Francis McGill, who preceded her in death 24 years ago. The surviving children are: Mrs. Belle Tucker, Mrs. Orilla Olds, Frank and William McGill. Three sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Mary Slavia, Mrs. Anna Clark and Mrs. Emma _ediker, all of Muscatine.
