Dies in Canada

Independence, Ia. Nov. 3. - Special: Mrs. Charles Glaspey, of this city, received word Sunday of the sudden death of her brother, Clinton Luckey. Mr. Luckey was on his way with a carload of horses from his home in Alberta, Canada, early Sunday morning. Mr. Luckey had been in good health and his death was from an attack of heart trouble. He had been a resident of western Canada for the past several years.

His body will be shipped back to the states and burial will be made in Columbius Junction, his fornmer home. He was well-known here.

Dies in Canada

Columbus Junction, Ia. - Word was received here Monday that Clinton Luckey of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, died Sunday at Medicine Hat while enroute with a shipment of horses to Manhattan.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Luckey and was born near Gladwin, northwest of Columbus Junction, 48 years ago. He has resided in Canada for about 20 years.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Carl Luckey, Riverside, Ernest Luckey and Mrs. Charles Glaspey of Independence, and Mrs. J. A Green of Columbus Junction.

The body will be brought here and is expected to arrive here on the 4:50 train Thursday morning. Services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal Church and will be conducted by the Rev. W. A. Samp. Burial will be in the Columbus cemetery.
