William Eugene Baxter, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Medical Center after a fall at his home that same day.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Karen S. Baxter, who passed away on May 4, 2008; and his parents, Eugene and Vern Ann Baxter. William is survived by Richard Baxter of Marion (and extended family); Barbara (Gerald) Thomsen, Ryan, Iowa; and his beloved cat, Rudy. Private services were held. Bill was a kind and loving friend. He will be greatly missed. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
