Nancy E. Bunting Services Held Saturday, June 23
Nancy Ellen Burns Bunting, 88, longtime Marion resident, died in Cedar Rapids Thursday at 11:27 a.m. following a long illness,
She was born in Mercer county, Penn., April 17, 1863, the daughter of Solemn and Margaret Faulk Burns. She was educated in the Marion schools. She married John Phillip Bunting December 21, 1887 in Marion. They were married 64 years.
Mrs. Bunting was Past Noble Grand of the Grove City Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the Marion Baptist church.
Surviving besides her husband are three children: Cornelius Bunting, Marion, Mrs. Ben Z. Monts, Cedar Rapids, and John W. Bunting, Marion; three grandchildren, and a brother, George W. Burns.
Funeral services were held at Yocom-Murdoch chapel at 3:00 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial was at Oak Shade cemetery. Bearers were Richard Alexander, Merle Knight, Dewey Alexander and Clifford Burns.
