First wife Carrie Mattice; second wife Hattie Young. Robert and Carrie were parents to 5 children 3 living in the 1900 census: Alice, Harvey and Charles.

R.W. TEMPLEMAN
Mr. R.W. Templeman was born in Linn county, four miles north of Marion and lived there until the age when he went to Davenport, where on the 15th of September he was united in marriage to Miss Flora Arrison. To this union a daughter was born, who died in childhood. After his marriage he removed to Walker, Iowa, where his wife died after four years of happy wedlock.
Four years later on the 24th of February in 1884, he married Miss Carrie Mattice. To them five children were born; of whom two, Harvey C. of St. Louis, Missouri, and Charles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa are living.
Some years ago he united with the Methodist church in Anamosa, and was member of that communion when he died.
He was stricken very suddenly with fatal illness last Sunday afternoon while visiting at the home of G.W. McCalley. He became unconscious and did not revive by passed away on Saturday afternoon the 24th of July in 1915, after a life of 62 years, 5 months and 6 days.
He leaves to miss his departure, his two sons, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Vosburg of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Mrs. G.W. McCalley of Marion, Iowa, besides other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was conducted by L.M. Starr, minister of the Christian church, from the residence of Mr. McCalley on Monday afternoon. Interment in Prairie cemetery.
