The funeral services of Mrs. W.L. Lillie were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in the Congregational church and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. M.L. Hutton, who spoke briefly but eloquently. A quartette composed of Messrs. J.J. Booth, Jams E. Bromwell, D.E. Voris and A.D. Hartson sang "Nearer my God to Thee" and "Jesus, Saviour Pilot Me." The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The remains were laid to rest in Oak Shade cemetery. The pall bearers were C.H. Kurtz, B.F. Mentzer, Ed Garretson, X.N. Kemp, Henry Scott and George McCauley. The out of town people called here by the death of Mrs. Lillie were Frank Lillie and family, George Lillie and family, Park Lillie and family and Ed Lillie all of Maxbass, N.D.; Mrs. C.H. Brooks of Wichita, Kansas, and C.H. Aikens of Louisburg, Kansas.
